Pre-requisite: Please note there are no pre-requisites attached to these units, however to achieve this qualification the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work (three weeks practical in a consecutive block) as detailed in the assessment requirements of the units of competency.

Overview

This qualification addresses work in client homes and other community settings within defined organisational guidelines and service plans. These workers carry out activities related to maintaining an individual’s well being through personal care and/or other activities of living; may provide services to individuals with complex needs, and/or work with groups of older people; report to service managers; and may be required to supervise and/or coordinate a limited number of other workers.

This course has been developed under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and is a nationally recognised course.

NOTE: Students studying this course are required by law to obtain an Australian Police Check.

 

Entry requirements

 

Students need to be 15 years old and are required to have reading, writing and comprehension skills equivalent to Year 10 pass level to successfully complete the Certificate level courses.

Overseas students English Proficiency Level will be tested prior to the commencement of Vocational Education and Training Courses. Imagine Education Australia requires an IELTS 5.5 with no band less than 5, or equivalent (as determined by Imagine Education Australia).
