This month we left the laid back environment of the Gold Coast and headed up to the big, bustling city of Brisbane. Brisbane is the Capital city of Queensland and is approximately 1 hour drive North of the Gold Coast.  Everybody had free time to check various places in the city with their classmates. Some students chose to hang out in the park at Southbank, admire the view of Brisbane River, look through the museum and art gallery, go shopping in the Queen Street Mall, and look at historical buildings. Some students opted for the Chinese experience of ‘yumcha’ for lunch, which included all sorts of interesting dishes like chicken feet. Overall, the weather was kind to us, and everyone had a good time in ‘the big smoke’.
