Meet Automotive Student, Joahne Guerrero

10 October 17

Joahne Guerrero is “breaking barriers” and she is rightly proud of it.

In a course normally dominated by males, the bubbly automotive student from the Philippines is holding her own and doing it for the girls!

After working on electrical cars in Japan, Joahne arrived in Australia four months ago and continued her passion for all things automotive by enrolling in Imagine Education’s highly regarded automotive course.

Situated in the brand new Ashmore Campus, Imagine Education’s automotive live-training environment combines the latest modern technology, hands-on real-world experience, and dedicated and experienced trainers.

Currently Joahne is studying her Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and she is looking forward to continue studying her Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis in the future.

“The trainers are really good here and everything is explained really well. The campus is amazing and the workshop gives us the opportunity to work on real cars with real issues. The trainers let me come in on my days off too which is great for extra learning!”

Joahne loves everything about the Gold Coast from the beautiful beaches and surrounds, to the people who live here. Named as the top city for students to study at by the beach by Top Universities, Joahne agrees stating that this is “an excellent place for international students to study.”

Joahne hopes to continue to learn as much as possible whilst completing her automotive courses and her future goals include working in an automotive workshop and “continue to be a female breaking the barriers!”.
