Apprenticeship & User Choice
The User Choice program provides public funding for the delivery of accredited, entry-level training to apprentices and trainees.
The term User Choice relates to employment-based training delivery.
Employment-based training delivery refers to accredited training that is delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to an employee who is registered as an apprentice or a trainee and where training takes place primarily in the workplace.
User Choice is a national policy that allows Employers, Apprentices and Trainees (the "users") to select the RTO of their choice to deliver the training component of their apprenticeship or traineeship.
The program works in conjunction with the Commonwealth Australian Apprenticeships System, under which apprentices and trainees (also known in some jurisdictions as "Australian Apprentices") enter into legally binding training contracts with their employers and receive structured training to achieve a nationally recognised qualification.
The Queensland User Choice program enables apprentices, trainees and their employers to select a preferred Registered Training Organisation (RTO) from a list of Pre-qualified Suppliers for the delivery of accredited training to meet their specific needs.
At Imagine Education Australia, employers and their apprentices and trainees can address the training needs specific to their business and to their individual training requirements.
Employers, apprentices and trainees . . . it's your choice. Now you can select an RTO that not only can, but will, provide you with the services you need.
